Silver Metal Clay & Nature Connection Day Workshop - Make a Memory
Time & Location
About the Event
Join us for a one of a kind jewellery making experience exploring the wonders of nature and learning how to make a unique piece of jewellery using silver clay.
We’ll spend the morning outdoors, exploring and finding inspiration from nature, foraging for natural objects such as flowers, leaves, feathers to use to create a one of a kind piece of jewellery.
You’ll experience a guided sensory walk in the woodlands onsite before we break for a woodland picnic lunch.
During the afternoon you will enjoy a unique workshop which will allow you time to play and explore the possibilities of making silver jewellery out of Art Clay Silver. We will use inspiration from nature and items found on our walk to make a small fine silver pendant you can treasure forever.
Art Clay Silver is a 100% recycled material consisting of fine particles of pure silver mixed with a non-toxic organic binder. Metal clay looks and feels like ordinary sculpting or porcelain clay but has different working properties while wet. When fired the binder burns out leaving a fine silver piece behind, which can be hallmarked as 999.
Art Clay can be bent, shaped, moulded, carved and much more. It is an ideal material for home use as it requires few tools and supplies. This course should give you the confidence to continue to build your skills at home should you wish.
A starter materials kit will be provided and is included in the cost of the course.
