Weleda expresses the deep connection between people and nature. The name is derived from Celtic tribes who named their wise, healing women ‘Weleda’. Today our name stands for our commitment to health, well-being and to our social responsibility. 

Just over a hundred years ago, Weleda became the world's first natural cosmetics company, pioneering organic farming methods and cultivation, setting standards for ethical business practices.
