About the Event

Step into the world of outdoor nomadic fine dining, where the salt marshes become your dining room and the unique backdrop of Morecambe Bay your view. You’ll be served a feasting menu prepared on the fire by Oli Martin and Matt Willdigg who will craft each dish with inspiration directly from the salt marshes and surrounds of Morecambe Bay, ensuring a one-of-a-kind experience for your senses.

As you arrive, we’ll pour you a coastal cocktail and you'll enjoy some welcome snacks.

Joining us at the table will be Stuart and Caroline Lawson who graze their sheep right here on the salt marshes and whose salt marsh lamb we'll be enjoying on the menu, slow-cooked over the fire. 

Let the sounds of the coastal breeze carry the acoustic cello played by Maja Bugge alongside the ethereal symphony of curlews and Oystercatchers filling the air.

This is a journey into the heart of nature's larder where we celebrate the Lancashire coastline, British agriculture and wild ingredients.

YOUR CHEFS

Oli Martin and Matt Willdigg are two of Lancashire's finest chefs, and not only are they well renowned in the home county they have worked in some of the world's best kitchens.

Both Oli and Matt have a food ethos steeped in the locality and low food miles and are excited to show off the versatility of the ingredients that can be found right here on our shoreline.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • Tasting menu prepared by Masterchef Professionals Oli Martin and Matt Willdigg, you can expect the best of the Morecambe Bay shoreline, from salt marsh lamb, foraged sea greens, and fresh fish. The menu will be released closer to the date. 
  • Welcome coastal cocktail 
  • A selection of infused botanical waters and cordials for your table
  • A seasonal wild tea tonic, or mushroom coffee.

What’s special about the salt marshes and Morecambe Bay

This unique landscape is full of shoreline ingredients, the combination of intertidal salt marshes and mud flats makes for very fertile fishing and farming as well as a haven for coastal birds and other wildlife who call Morecambe Bay home.

Morecambe Bay is marked as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and an SSSi with the largest intertidal area in the UK. This is also where we call home,  we love our area and can’t wait to share all of what it has to offer in this one-of-a-kind immersive dining experience.

👞 DRESS FOR THE OCCASION

Please note that we are dining outside on the salt marshes we will have sheepskin rugs and blankets to hand however please please dress appropriately for the weather on the day, we always suggest bringing a jumper and jacket to keep you warm. Be sure to communicate this to any other guests you have booked for.

🌞 WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?

In the event of adverse weather conditions, we will move the event to our beautiful rustic Out Barn.

⏰ TIMINGS:

It is important you arrive on time as the meal is served in one sitting. Please do not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes before the start time

🍲 DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:

Please read our dietary policy linked here, it is very important that you communicate any dietary requirements at the point of booking and no later than 72 hours before the event. We do provide a vegetarian option on request, however, due to the nature of the open-air kitchen and traditional cooking methods all ingredients are prepared over the same fire. With this in mind, we do not yet cater for vegans or allergies.

We will at times take photos and videos during our events for our website and promotional material. If you do not wish to be included in this please let a member of staff know about this on your arrival.

🚫 CANCELLATION POLICY All tickets are non-refundable. If you’re unable to make it the ticket can be transferred to a friend or family member
